In November 1986, Salina Concrete Products purchased the block manufacturing facility of Kansas Brick & Tile Company, located at 1600 S. Hoover in Wichita, Kansas. That facility became what is now Kansas Building Products- or more commonly, as KBP. KBP now exists as a seperate profit center, yet still an affiliate of Salina Concrete Products, Inc. KBP employs 16 people, six of which are in front office sales and administration.

At Kansas Building Products, we manufacture a wide variety of sizes and shapes of concrete and haydite masonry units. What was in the 1980's a plain gray block plant is now a producer of split-face, fluted, colored lightweight and heavyweight units, as well articulated concrete block and insulated concrete block. In addition, KBP also manufactures segmental retaining wall block under license from Rockwood Retaining Walls, Inc.

At KBP, we have a masonry supply center that is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at our location in Wichita. We also have an outdoor display available for view 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our products include tools, supplies, Monarch Cements, Pavestone and Belgard concrete pavers, Rockwood Retaining Wall, and much, much more.
